Leandro Martínez

Research

 

Leandro Martínez is a researcher at the Institute of Chemistry of the State University of Campinas. He received is BA degree from the State University of Campinas in 2002, a Master Degree in Chemistry in 2003 and a Doctoral degree in Physical Chemistry from the same institution. He has held post-doctoral positions at the Institute of Chemistry of the University of Campinas and at the Structural Bioinformatics Unit of the Institute Pasteur, in Paris, after which he was obtained academic positions at the Institute of Physics São Carlos of the University of São Paulo (2010-2012) and currently at the Institute of Chemistry of the State University of Campinas. His main research interests is concerned with the study of the properties of molecules of biological interest by the use of computer modelling, particularly using molecular dynamics simulations and large-scale numerical optimization. He is the leader developer of the popular Packmol
